You Belong Here

You Belong Here

This ain’t your grandma’s festival. At Boot Tan Fest, our feminism is radical, inclusive, and intersectional.

You might be wondering about the change in our language from “Femme” to “Nonbinary Folks.” It’s not something our team took lightly, but it is something that is rooted in our core values.

Plain and simple, we welcome and celebrate women and gender-nonconforming folks. Not sure what that means? Nonbinary folks and trans women, no matter how you express your genderfemme, masc, somewhere, or everywhere in between–this festival is for you. It’s a place to come together, shred, and build camaraderie among people who see you, support you, and are committed to creating a safe space for you.

When we say women’s experiences will be centered, we want to be honest that the core team identifies as cisgender women and we acknowledge that many of our attendees identify as cisgender. But we know what it’s like to be a woman in our world and in 2025, and that’s why anyone who holds a marginalized gender identity is welcome here. Your identities will be celebrated and affirmed, and transphobia will not be tolerated.

Oh, and the naked lap? That’s for everyone. Tits, tape, top surgery scars, whatever you’ve got, let ‘em fly.
